GEORGIA COURT DELAYS

Jenkins - The court's system is down. They expect to have it restored the week of March 13th. Expect delays.

Hall - Public access terminals do not have DOB/identifiers or sentencing information. Each possible case has to be verified with a staff member at the clerk's office. They will only allow 5 cases at a time. Researchers are only allowed 15 minutes at the terminal and there are only 2 PAT's. Please expect delays for records and possible records.

Chatham - The courts recently changed the public access software. Since that time, we have come across multiple older cases that are not showing up on public access. While much of the older data appears to be intact, there are known older cases that are not showing up that should. Clerks have been notified. We have done extensive testing and have found no missing data for 10-year searches. We can still conduct searches that are over 10 years, but we need to caution you that public cases may not show up. If you need to search for more than 10 years in Chatham County, we recommend running a statewide GA GCIC search along with the county.

Clayton, Spalding - Using the public access, most searches, both clears, and hits, can be done without issues in a timely manner.  There are times when the clerks get involved in helping to get details missing from the PAT. There can be extended delays when this happens, as the clerk backlogs are significant.
